This illustrations represents time for the living. That is, the antithesis of "time as an object" (coming soon). The basic idea is that time exists only for those with the faculty of perception where, all else is merely changing matter. In that regard, time is an effect or consequence of being alive or aware and nothing more. The alternative is that..."everything that was, is and will be, always is." Time or existence behaving much like a 3 dimensional object where only the face is visible to perception. The past and future, though present within the proportions of the object are "hidden" from perception by the "face" or the present moment. These two perspectives are to my knowledge opposite, though I have a sense that they are both valid. If you care to, you might consider and share how if and how they're linked.
